This July we offer three very special workshops to get you closer to the Arabic language and culture from a creative and experiential perspective.
The workshops are open to both students of the Cadmus Arabic school and anyone interested, so we encourage you to share this information with family, friends and acquaintances. You will help us reach more people with these activities!
🍋 Lebanese cooking workshop in Arabic
Learn vocabulary in Arabic while preparing some of the most emblematic dishes of Lebanese cuisine in a relaxed and cultural atmosphere. No prior knowledge of Arabic or experience in cooking is required.
Price: €20.
✨ Kufic calligraphy art workshop
Discover one of the oldest and most beautiful forms of Arabic writing, learn its basic principles and create an artistic composition inspired by Islamic art.
Price: €45 per session or €80 for two sessions.
🧵 Arabic calligraphy and embroidery workshop
Discover Arabic calligraphy through embroidery and create your first piece guided by Laura Jabbour. No previous experience required. Limited places.
Price: €35.

INTENSIVE COURSE OF ARABIC CALLIGRAPHY (thuluth style)
Dates: June 13th & 14th
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Price: 130 euros (includes working material: quill, ink, paper and patterns).
We offer this new calligraphy course in which participants will be able to learn and delve into the art of Arabic calligraphy and its forms in the “thuluth” style (or “sülüs” in Turkish), one of the main classical styles of Arabic calligraphic writing. We will learn the proportions of the letters and the rules, as well as the steps to follow to carry out a final work. The course is open to any type of public since it is not necessary to have previous knowledge of the Arabic language or to have any calligraphic practice.
We will organize several groups according to the level of knowledge of the students and whether or not they have taken a course previously.

Arabic Poetry Night 2026 (15th edition!)
Thursday 18th of June
Dedicated to all lovers of arabic poetry and song.
It will take place as every year in an Arabic restaurant in Barcelona and will involve the students and teachers of the school.
There will be prizes for the best performances !

Tazhib workshop
The art of islamic manuscript illumination
An introduction to the art of Tazhib. During the workshop students will learn about the origin and development of this art, the different types of designs and associated techniques. Each student will elaborate a piece on cardboard following the whole process of design, drawing and decoration using traditional colors and gold.
Dates: 16th of May (saturday)
Timetable: from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 18.00 hours.
